ACQUISITION ALERT TO ALL HHS CONTRACTORS
On September 9, 2021, President Biden signed Executive Order 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors. This Executive Order directs executive departments and agencies to ensure that contracts and contract-like instruments covered by the order include a clause requiring the contractor, and their subcontractors at any tier, to comply with all guidance for contractor or subcontractor workplace locations published on the Safer Federal Workforce site for the duration of the contract.
To help the contractor community understand the requirements of this Executive Order and how it applies to them, Katrina Brisbon, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Acquisitions and Senior Procurement Executive for the Department of Health and Human Services, is conducting an industry outreach session.
